with your left hand, press and hold the linear button at the base of the handheld. with right hand, press red round button at the top of the wand and pull wand away from handheld. to re-install wand, press wand into handheld until you hear a snap.
How to clean the filter of this vacuum?
JASHEN V16 Cordless Vacuum applies auto HEPA filter cleaning alert. You only need to clean the HEPA filter when the alert (the red icon of the LED panel) is on. To clean the filter, remove the filter from dust cup and rinse with water. Once completely dry, reinsert the filter to dust cup.

Good for small family
As a family with 2 little kids, we really need a portable cordless vacuum to clean the floor and carpet many times per day. The power of suction and the working time of battery are the most concern, this vacuum has a button to switch the power from low to medium and high, which is easier than other brand vacuum. And the high mode is powerful enough to clean the carpet and sofa.
The 40 minutes working time is longer than any other brands vacuum, so I don’t need to charge quite often. The other shiny point is the battery can be charged separately, no worrying for the kids playing with the vacuum when it is charging.

This is a very trendy vacuum cleaner. It has a LCD display. It is very simple and convenient to install. The suction is very large. Perfect for small room
This is just a quick review. I’m going to write down Pros and Cons, and some back story of myself using it
Pros-
1. Lightweight and cordless vacuum, no longer needed to drag the power cables
2. LED screen for battery power
3. Clear vacuum head, and storage.
4. 3 levels of suction, high, higher, and highest. It’s pretty amazing
5. Easy to empty it when needed.
Cons
1. smaller capacity compared to other heavy vacuums, not a problem for me I live in a single bedroom apartment, not much of space to clean anyway2. battery life. ( If you live in 4-5 bedroom with a big family, you may have to recharge it, for me, it’s not a problem )

Good for Asthma patient
I have severe asthma, so keeping a clean house is a priority. But we do love pets and we have 3 cats and 1 dog in our 3000ft new apartment. That’s why we urgently need a cordless vacuum cleaner to replace the upright one. We use the vacuum in the lowest setting for the hardwood floor and it does an excellent job! We’ll only switch to the mid or max if we need to go over a dirty carpet, and the highest setting starts to lift the carpet off the floor, that’s really surprise me!
The filter cleaning alert is a plus. This is the function I never image. I used to cleaning or washing the filter when the suction is getting worse and worse, which is the problem with all of vacuums. It makes me frustrated. But this cordless would remind me to clean the filter by the red light on the LED screen, so I could use it at liberty.
Overall, I have no idea how it compares to dyson, but is definitely worth the price. The best purchase on amazon.
