If you get a spare one, you can extend the cleaning time by another 30 minutes. An LED indicator on the unit shows if the battery is charging or not. Despite the battery being removable, you can only charge it while attached to the vacuum.

Using a wet filter would ruin the vacuum and void the warranty.
