Design & build
The Kyvol Cybovac E31 UK is constructed in a standard matte black finish with a tempered glass top. Its 12.5 inches diameter and 3 inches height make it slim enough fit under most furniture.
Features & accessories
There are flush Home and Clean/Pause buttons on the top. These buttons change their colour to indicate various things; like charge state, battery life and WiFi connectivity. The bottom meanwhile is a swathe of matte black plastic littered with the various fundamentals of the E31’s cleaning system.
Like other robot vacuums, there’s a single spinning side brush, a roller brush on the bottom of the vacuum that can be easily removed for cleaning, an omnidirectional wheel, a pair of drive wheels, and a power switch. It has 0.6-liter dustbin that inserts at the back of the vacuum and can be swapped out for the 0.3-liter water tank when you want to mop hard floors.
The tank has a rubber seal to avoid spills once it’s filled but it’s best not to manipulate the E31 far from horizontal while this reservoir is installed.
Cleaning modes
The E31 has four cleaning modes.
- Auto mode – It’s best suited for general maintenance cleaning. It cleans all accessible space in a zig-zag pattern with medium suction, and boosting the power when it’s on carpet.
- Spot mode – If you need a deeper cleaning, you can enable it on that areas; the E31 will vacuum in a spiral pattern in a diameter up to 3.9 feet for about two minutes, after which it will go into standby mode until you tell it to resume cleaning in another mode or return it to its dock.
- Lastly, Edge mode sends the vacuum along the perimeter of the room for about 20 minutes.
How to use Kyvol Cybovac E31 UK robot vacuum cleaner?
Step 1: You must first attach one of the side brushes to the vacant post on the bottom of the vacuum.
Step 2: Then plug in the charging dock, flip the power switch to “on,” and set the E31 on the dock’s contacts.
Step 3: It takes 6 to 6.5 hours for the battery to fully charge, which should provide about 150 minutes of running time. You’ll know the battery is full when the LEDs on top of the vacuum change from pulsing orange to solid blue. As the battery drains during cleaning, these will again change from blue to solid orange and finally flashing red when the battery level is critically low.
Step 4: With remote or Kyvol Companion app, you can activate the various cleaning modes, start and stop cleanings, manually direct the vacuum, and send it to the dock to recharge using clearly labeled buttons and a directional pad. Both also allow you to schedule cleaning times.
Step 5: For moping, you fill up the water tank with tap water through a small opening, then remove the dustbin from the E31, replace it with the tank, and select a cleaning mode. Water from the tank moistens the attached mopping cloth as the vacuum drags it across the floor (you can adjust the water volume from the app). It doesn’t do a great job, but it’s no worse than similar hybrid vacuums.
Cleaning performance
The E31 sucked up a considerable amount of dirt and debris from the carpeted, hardwood, and vinyl-tiled floors in my home. It negotiated the transitions between these floor types without a problem, though it would occasionally get hung up on a power cord or a stray sock. In those instances, it would beep loud enough for me to hear upstairs and push an alert to my phone so I could go rescue it. Between the vacuum’s mapping and its plethora of built-in sensors, it was able to maneuver expertly around walls and furniture.

This vacuum does a great job, it does the hard work so I don’t have to
I absolutely love this robot vacuum. I use to hate vacuuming and mopping the floors in the house, it was such a chore that I just didn’t have time for. Now with this robot, the Kyvol Cybobav E31, I have time to do other things while it does all the work and does a great job at it!
This robot vacuum is super easy to set up. It comes with step by step instructions and doesn’t take very long to do at all. After setting up and it’s first full charge it’s ready to go. One thing I really like about this vacuum is the ease of starting it. You have several options, you can simply walk over to the vacuum and press the power button or there is a remote that is very handy. The remote will start the vacuum among many other things such as sending it to its home base to charge or if there is a specific spot you want cleaned you can direct the vacuum right to it with the directional arrow buttons. My favorite way to start anything in my home, along with this vacuum, is to tell Alexa. Simply give a voice command to start vacuuming and off it goes. When done tell Alexa and it will return to the base to charge.
I’m very impressed with the suction power. I have two young children and a dog, so crumbs, dirt that’s been tracked in from outside and pet hair is a given in my household. This vacuum picks it all up with ease. The vacuum works well on all floor types. We have wood floors, which the mopping feature is wonderful for, carpet and linoleum. By the time the vacuum is done all floor types are cleaned thoroughly!
There are 3 different cleaning modes that can be used. The general cleaning option, spot mode which is great for tough stains and the edge mode which I love for corners or edges of the baseboard. These places always gather dirt and dust easily so I run this option often. It leaves my house looking pristine!
The vacuum works quietly so I can run it at anytime. Often I will do it at night when the kids and dog are asleep and they are never disturbed by it. I trust it to run at night without supervision and don’t worry about it unnecessarily going over the same spots. It has mapping and it will only go over the places it hasn’t already vacuumed. I don’t have to worry about sending it back to the base to charge as it will return on its own once done.
I wake up to a clean house in the mornings thanks to this robot vacuum and have more time to do the things I enjoy. It works great and I’m very happy with the results.
