ADMI gaming PC package review

ADMI gaming PC package review 2020 -is it worth buying?

Quiet operation, simple to set up, screen is very clear and a nice size. If you’re looking for a top end gaming rig that will play everything at full HD this isn’t it – but if you want a value PC that does what it says on the tin then this is your man. The AMD A8-7650K is an over-performing APU for its price and it’s on a Gigabyte motherboard which comes complete with manual for those inclined to tinker. Picture quality on the monitor is excellent – in both games and Netflix. I contacted the vendor before purchase with a couple of questions and they were very prompt and courteous with their responses. Get details in ADMI gaming PC package review.

Pros & Cons – ADMI gaming PC package

Pros
23″ screen and OS pre-installed – other PCs at same price are 21″ and no OS pre-installed so this is a big money saver.
Gaming headset – expected it to be crap because of package price but I was wrong. Lovely sound off it and very comfortable.
Excellent value for money.

Overall A+ for value:performance seeing as it also includes the OS and 23″ screen which others at the same price don’t.

Cons
Monitor only has DVI and D-Sub connections – would be nice to have HDMI as well but the motherboard does have HDMI if you wanted to add another monitor.
Only has stereo output for audio. I have a surround sound system with woofer so I’ll need to add a sound card at some stage to get full sound in-game.

ACCEPTABLE COMPROMISES

The ADMI (2600X) Gaming PC comes at less than 800 quids, which is where we start bordering budget lands. At this price, you’ve no choice but to cut multiple corners and the cuts start getting noticeable. That being said, the machine’s made the list because the cuts do not concern its GPU and CPU, meaning that, gaming-wise, the model’s not compromising much.

The compromises come from RAM and storage. To run most games, even the most demanding ones, 8GB DDR4 RAM is enough but you’ll have to make sure to close most Chrome tabs and, sometimes, even quit Discord and programs like that since certain games’ requirements are close to 8 gigabytes.

From the storage perspective, what the machine offers is only 240GB SSD. As you’d imagine, that is not great. You’ll deplete that much storage space with 5-10 games, which means you’ll be forced to uninstall the ones you’ve completed right away to make space for new games. We’d recommend adding 1TB HDD because that not only will completely solve the issue but will also cost you less than 40 quid since HDDs are cheap these days but read the warranty terms and conditions first because, sometimes, that means violating them.

On the bright side, the model’s adopting this substantial 80+ 600-watt PSU, so you can get another 8-gigabyte RAM stick and add the HDD without worrying about available energy.

FULFILING AMBITIOUS GAMING ASPIRATIONS

Setting the hardware that plays second fiddle aside, let’s move towards the graphics card. Radeon RX 580, with its 8-gigabyte RAM and 1340MHz clock speed, is an excellent card compared to its GeForce competition within the same class. The GPU offers more texture mapping units and great shader performance. The card can run the latest AAA titles at 1440p producing somewhere around 70-80 fps without even forcing you to reduce the graphics settings from ultra-high to high. With this GPU, you can go to Steam and purchase the game you want not even looking at the game’s system requirements because, rest assured, the graphics card will meet and exceed them.

Next to this card, you’ll find AMD’s Ryzen 2600X six-core processing unit, with its clock speed able to reach 4.25 MHz. This is the unit that you can assign the most grueling tasks knowing that the CPU will complete these tasks with flying colours.

In closing, provided you do not have more than 800 pounds to spare at this time, the ADMI (2600X) Gaming PC will fit the desired bill and fulfil the most ambitious gaming aspirations.

On sale now, ADMI (9400F) Gaming PC makes an offer that most gamers will not be able to refuse. When you look at the model’s specs and its price tag and then back at the specs since the two do not make that much sense, this machine becomes an easy choice to make. We’re not saying that the rig is without its flaws, that’s not the claim we’re making. The claim we’re making is that the flaws are negligible, with the biggest being the fans producing more noise than you’d expect from the company’s normally quiet builds. We’re not necessarily enthusiastic about the bronze-rated 500-watt PSU since that means future upgrades will also require you to invest in a new power supply unit but, again, this is not that important.

What’s important is that this desktop PC runs most games and should be able to run them for the next few years. First and foremost, what allows this machine to handle all titles, both relatively old and the ones that have just hit the virtual shelves, is the six-gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card. This tried-and-tested GPU leaves very little to be desired, even when you set the in-game presets to the highest graphics settings and refuse to settle for 1080p.

The card easily keeps the fps around 100-110 at 1440p when you’re playing Fortnite and even sits at around 60 fps with the same resolution and settings running games like Borderlands 3 that’s not been optimised at all (shame, Gearbox Software, shame-shame). From The Division 2 to Final Fantasy XV, the card produces great results (around 70 fps), keeping the gameplay smooth and fluid.

Review of ADMI (9400F) Gaming PC (i5 9400F, RTX 2060 6GB, 16GB RAM, 240GB SSD + 1TB HDD)

THE 9TH GENERATION

The CPU slot holds the six-core Intel Core i5-9400F with its 4.1 GHz clock speed. The 9th generation, this processing unit features concurrent floating-point execution, handles operations with integers, incorporates adaptive shading tech, and the newest unified memory architecture, doubling its predecessor’s cache. With only six cores, the CPU is not necessarily brilliant at multitasking but, as far as games are concerned, this is more than you need to keep them running without hiccups.

Even storage- and RAM-wise, this machine punches above its weight, featuring 16GB DDR4 RAM and pairing the obligatory 240GB SSD stick with 1TB HDD, which means you can have the games you play the most loading within seconds and have enough storage space to have as many as you want concurrently installed.

Bringing this home, the ADMI (9400F) Gaming PC looks great, performs great, and comes at the price where you do not expect gaming PCs to display anything worth talking about.

ADMI (3700X) gaming PC package review

SLEEK, ELEGANT, AND AGGRESSIVE

With ample and rich but not too flashy RGB lighting, the ADMI (3700X) Gaming PC looks sleek when set to green and purple, cold and elegant when set to blue, and aggressive and almost ominous when set to red-only. But, as much as we like the model’s somewhat understated case with visually expressive lighting balancing its appearance, flirting with the line between boring and garish, the hardware is what makes any PC first and gaming PCs foremost.

Most customers are already aware that GPU is the driving force behind any gaming rig, hence the machine’s Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB graphics card. When talking about gaming computers with price tags not going above 1200 quid, this is the best GPU that you can afford, outperforming the more expensive RTX 2060S (averaging ~10% more frame rates at 1440p), even though the latter has better thermals and produces less noise.

Thanks to this graphics card, you will not only be able to run the most recent, most demanding games at 1440p, turning the graphics settings to ultra-high and enjoying around 80-90 fps but also run the AAA titles that will be coming within the next few years at the same resolution, settings, and with the same frame rates. With its RDNA architecture, the GPU offers excellent top-to-bottom scalability and consistent performance, even when the game has not necessarily been optimized to serve AMD graphics cards.

LIQUID COOLING TOO

The second most important hardware piece is always the CPU but, before addressing the model’s processing unit, we’ll find out the case’s biggest advantages and disadvantages. On the first subject, there’s the machine’s liquid cooling system, with this massive 120-mm aluminum radiator, pump, and copper plate, enabling overclocking and minimising overheating chances even when you force this already powerful PC to punch above its weight. Plus, the system is sealed, preventing evaporation and leakage to make sure you do not have to put noticeable effort into its maintenance.

On the not-so-bright side, the model’s cable management is almost appalling, which’s fine when you put aesthetics considerations aside since the liquid cooling system with the fans will negate any issues related to circulation and such.

Now, the AMD Ryzen 3700X 8-core CPU is just what the doctor ordered, capable enough to enable streaming without forcing you to relegate that towards any secondary device, capable enough to streamline multitasking, and capable enough to enable anything from data mining to video encoding, even with demanding programs running in the background.

Long story short, the ADMI (3700X) Gaming PC is the machine you buy when you want to make sure even the biggest games will be running nice and smooth.

What is a Gaming PC?

For many people playing computer games is a favourite way of relaxation.
