I bought this scale and I bought the $60 Greater Goods scale to compare. Here’s what I found:
RENPHO SCALE
• PRO: With the Renpho scale, everything operates perfectly. The app is user friendly and visually appealing, easy to track your data, and no Bluetooth transfer problems.
• CONS: The only downside to the Renpho is that is doesn’t visually display any other measurement besides your weight on the scale, but that info is collected in the app immediately so you can just open your app to see. Also the display screen is smaller and not bright like the Greater Goods scale.GREATER GOODS SCALE
• PROS: The one thing I do love about the scale is that it shows you all your measurements (weight, body fat, muscle mass, etc.) right there on the scale as you’re looking at it. Also the screen is large and bright, very visually appealing. But what good is that if I can’t easily track that info later?• CONS: I love the look and feel of it, but the app is so terrible that it makes it almost not even worth using. I thought, “well maybe I just can track my data in the Fitbit app or in the Health app”, as the info collected from your weigh-ins can be transferred to other apps via the Weight Gurus app that comes with the scale. So far, I have not had any success with that data transferring.
LESSON LEARNED: More expensive does not always mean better! I will be returning my Greater Goods scale and keeping the Renpho! 🙂

An upgrade to a very good product
This is my second RENPHO Bluetooth scale. My first one was very helpful and has lasted me over a year of stepping on and off without any signs of usage. It still looks like new. The only reason I bought this was for the reason that it is rechargeable. And this scale works like a charm and connects to the app via Bluetooth readily.
What’s new,
– Rechargeable scale that connects to a power source via microUSB. The scale maintains very good charge. It has been a week since my 1-hour charge and it still holds power.
– New improved design than my old scale. Looks more appealing.
– The letters are legible and clear to read.The scale measures your physical body weight, BMI, body fat%, water %, skeletal muscle, fat-free body weight, muscle mass, bone mass, protein, basal metabolism, and body age. I primarily look at my physical weight and body fat %. The fat% seems fairly accurate to what I would expect it to be. So this is an easy way to measure body fat instead of spending money for a number that would be at best 2% off from what this scale measures.
The app connectivity is very easy and straightforward. There is a manual that clearly lays out the steps to connect to the app. And even without that it’s easy if we follow the app. Looking up the scale took a minute and the scale automatically connects via Bluetooth to the phone to record the data.
If i want to be picky, the only gripe I may have is that it doesn’t come in white. The black colour is still very pleasing to the eye. So no stars need to be taken off.

I love RENPHO products for their good quality and price. This Bluetooth weight scale is really GREAT. It measures your Body Weight, Muscle Mass, Body Fat %, Skeletal Muscle, Water %, Fat-free Body Weight, BMI, Bone Mass, Protein, Basal Metabolism, Body Age, Visceral Fat, and Subcutaneous Fat. it takes about 3-4 hours to fully charged but you only need to charge it once every 2-3 months. The app is very easy to use , it is compatible with Google Fit, FitBit and Samsung Health, you can set Weight and Body Fat goals and set measurement reminders. I’ve purchased 4 RENPHO scales for me and my family and we don’t have any complains so far. I really recommend this product.

4. Best 13 body composition analyzer – RENPHO 13 Body Composition Analyzer scale review
Easy setup and use! Lots of information! No battery replacements!
I already have a Renpho scale that I love. I needed a second one for another bathroom and I’ve been looking for a scale that doesn’t have batteries and still had all the bells and whistles. Finally, this is it!
Ok, it actually has batteries, but they’re rechargeable so I’m not going to buy batteries (or hunt around for them) for a bathroom scale again.
So here are the great features:
1) No battery replacement. Recharging is with a provided microUSB cable (a standard cord also works so doesn’t matter if you don’t have the provided one) and a USB plug (not provided but we all have millions of these). Display showed that a charging was needed when I received it., but the charging was quick.2) Setup. Linking to my phone was very easy. I had the Renpho app on the phone already. I was concerned about whether I could use one scale one day and the other scale a different day. But that’s been no problem at all. I start up the app on the phone, leave it on the counter (don’t want ANY extra weight!), and step on whichever scale is in that bathroom. A tone on the phone says “got it!” and the data gets easily added to the phone.
3) Size. Unusually small scale. This can be good news or not so good. My wife likes the smaller footprint in the bathroom and her smaller feet fit well. I have bigger feet and I have to be thoughtful about getting my feet in the right place. I wish it were a bit larger, but can’t argue with my wife’s design eye! 🙂
4) Information provided. The amount of information and the charting is extensive: weight, body fat %, BMI (very important to me), muscle mass, skeletal muscle, fat-free body weight (I can dream, right?), bone mass etc.
5) Link to other health apps. I’ve only connected this to app to my Samsung Health app, but the connection is flawless. The weight and BMI show up in the Samsung app without taking any additional steps. Connections with at least Google, Apple, and Fitbit are also possible.
I haven’t had the scale long enough to know about battery life (time between recharges). Blurb says to expect 3-4 months of use. We’ll have to wait to see.

Amazing simple scale
The scale is simple and great given the price. It includes the battery within the box so you don’t need to get it for the first use. Once you pull it out of the box, the shape looks simple and smart. When you set the battery, you are ready to use it. I hopped on and it shows the result in two seconds. The scale values are consistent and correct all the time I step. Although it is lightening cheap, it comes with all the necessary functionalities. I would buy this once when it needs to be replaced or I need one more.
