What are the available functions?
Wipe function:
The wiping function is particularly practical because the vacuum cleaner can also pick up dust with the damp cloth. Although the vacuum cleaner does not replace wet floor cleaning, it is a good helper in the household. The cloth and tank are simply hung on the vacuum cleaner without any technical connection. A Velcro fastener allows the cloth to be separated from the tank for washing. To fill the tank, you can either remove the tank or fill it from above directly on the teat.
Since the cloth is not as wide as the teat, the edges are wiped slightly less carefully than the surfaces.
Auto mode:
In automatic mode, the robot first drives over the area to be cleaned. In doing so, the suction cup travels over the areas in consecutive lines. Then the robot moves over the edges and ends the process. There is only this one mode, but it is very efficient and involves every part of the room.
Random mode:
In this mode, the room is driven through at random. In the manual, it is described that no mapping can take place. In our test, the app was able to create a map and we could see exactly where the robot drives and has driven.
Edge mode:
The robot drives very cleanly and carefully along all edges of the room.
Area mode:
This mode cleans an area of about 2 by 2 meters and then the robot goes into standby mode. You have to take the robot to the area yourself and from there you can also take it back to the station or assign it a new job.
Intensive mode:
In intensive mode, the edge is cleaned twice and the surface once.

Only a short review for now but I’ll add more later.
I’m amazed at my wonderful little BlueBot. To be honest, I didn’t think a vacuum bot could do such a good job. My floors are clean all the time now, even the edges and corners.
I got my Blaupunkt because I suffer from a pain-heavy illness and allergies and hoped this would help save me from both. Well it certainly does that! There’s no huge dust cloud as with a full sized vacuum so I don’t itch or have breathing trouble every time the house is cleaned. Also, my poor joints aren’t sprained each time the vacuum comes out.There’s two types of pick-up nozzle for vacuuming. One general and one deep clean roller brush. It’s a good idea to send Bluebot around with the general nozzle before a deep clean over carpet if you or anyone in your house has long hair, but it’s genuinely surprising to find just how much Bluebot picks up off the floor either way. To be honest I think it does a much, much better job than any of my old vacuums. With edge-cleaning mode and frequent trips round the house, the dust doesn’t even seem to pile up in the corners any more.
Something you’ll probably want to know is, can a robot vac replace a full sized vacuum? Well, if you were to pair it with a hand held vac, then yes. And as I’ve always found jobs for a hand vac that the big vacuum couldn’t do, I think it’s fair to say that it can replace the big, clunky vacuums I’ve used in the past.
Bluebot is very quiet. Migraine sufferers will love it. It manages wood floors and carpets equally well.
The BluebotXL app is great, though I may send a couple of suggestions to Blaupunkt who, by the way, have phone and online support with Live Chat if you need any help. I did have one problem and Blaupunkt sorted it out immediately.
If you don’t want to use the app, there’s a remote control. A choice of UK plug and a Euro plug come in the box alone with a water tank (for the mop), mop cloths, dust tank, two nozzles for regular or deep cleaning, and a few other bits. There are magnetic rubber strips included which you use to block off any areas you don’t want the Bluebot to pass. These work very well.
My Bluebot managed to walk over door-joins and trailing wires very well. It’s not a good idea to leave your wires around though so best if you tuck them out of the way or Bluebot may drag them round a bit.Quick mention about pets: cats may end up riding round on Bluebot and dogs, once over the shock of a machine that moves and talks, end up just ignoring it. Definitely not scared after a few times seeing it operate, unlike the full sized vacuums that scared them all the time.

I’ve heard that Bluebot now works with Amazon Alexa, however I can’t test this yet, not owning an Alexa Echo myself. I may do so soon so I’ll update this review if I get one.
So, 10/10 for Bluebot. Would hate to live without it now.
