Design
The BMAX B2 Plus Mini PC is a small computer mainframe with a Dimension of 12.50 x 11.20 x 4.40 cm / 4.92 x 4.41 x 1.73 inches. This should be the size that fits directly into your pocket and weighs only 310g for easy carrying. The design of this BMAX B2 Plus Mini PC allows you to place it discreetly on your desk, the living room furniture or even behind the monitor, installed with the stand included in the box. In this way, you will always keep a very careful aesthetic in any corner of your house where you decide to install it.

Hardware
The low-consumption mini PC Bmax B2 Plus includes an Intel Celeron J4115-CPU, a quad-core x86 manufactured in 14nm, capable of reaching 2.5Ghz maximum speed and integrating an Intel HD 600 GPU. A Chip is suitable for office environments, navigation web, simple games or as HTPC as it can play video up to 4K resolutions at 60fps. We also have 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 128GB of SSD storage memory, an M.2 NGFF 2280 port, and an M.2 NVme 2242 port, and also supports Expandable 1TB SSD or 2TB 2.5 inch HDD hard drive expansion to easily meet your daily storage needs.
Teardown
Once you remove the back cover. You will see the back of the motherboard. On the Motherboard you have 2 X M.2 form factor ports, and 1 of them is M.2 2280 port and the second one is M.2 NVme 2242 port, so you can add or upgrade existing 128GB M.2 SSD if you want.
You also have an option to add an additional 3rd 2.5” form factor hard drive with available SATA port, but you have to buy cable for it, because it is not included with the Mini PC, and according to documentation you can add up to 2TB of 2.5” form factor Hard drive to meet your daily storage needs.
Moving on the wifi card, which is a Dual Band 802.11AC Wireless card and it is Soldered to the motherboard, so it cannot be replaced or upgraded.
So if you want to access the CPU, you have to remove 4 phillips screws holding the motherboard. In order to take the motherboard out you have to remove the backplate of the mini PC, and slide the back of the motherboard outwards and lift the front side of the motherboard, but you have to be careful with the WiFi card Antenna cable which is taped to the top of the case for better signals.
You have to take the motherboard out of the case and flip it upside down to access the CPU, Heatsink and fan.
Also the COMPUTER Memory is Soldered to the motherboard, so it is not upgradeable as well, but we have a total of 8GB DDR4 Memory, which is plenty enough for most of the daily computing tasks, and windows 10.
So If you want to clean the heatsink or replace thermal paste. You can remove the Heatsink and Fan by removing the 4 Phillips screws holding the heatsink and fan. The Heatsink and fan covers most of the motherboard, and you cannot hear the fan during general usage, and it was close to silent during our stress test as well.
Overall BMAX B2 Plus Mini PC Motherboard build quality and internals are one of the best in the business.

Excellent solution for WFH situation
This turned out to be an excellent solution for a continuing work-from-home situation (software engineer). I needed dual monitor support and dual band WiFi. This has no problem with those requirements, with apparent capability to spare. My workstation consists of dual 24″ 4K monitors, and wireless keyboard and mouse. I’m not a gamer, so I can’t speak to those capabilities, but as a business productivity solution, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this. Video streaming from YouTube, Amazon, and Netflix are also smooth. I do still cross my fingers with every Windows update, but haven’t had any issues with any, up to and including 1909.

A transformative Machine
I bought this mini pc after buying a smaller less capable one which worked well but no where near this one. With its 8 gb of ram you can run highly intensive rendering programs like adobe premier pro, and other high rendering programs. It also run efficiently on the windows 10 system effectively making it a computer but it can be used for home entertainment such as Netflix, hulu, and if you have a blue ray drive and a blue ray player. My favorite part about this machine is the 128 solid state drive which boots this computer in a matter of seconds. It fast smooth, and I would recommend to college student or someone who is constantly on the move but does not want the draw back of having a laptop.
