Roborock E25 vs E35 – do they both sweep and mop? Roborock E35 is a bit more superior. It has more powerful suction and has a high-capacity, longer-lasting battery. Besides, it is ideal for larger rooms (up to 200 square meters) while the E25 is recommended for rooms measuring up to 150 square meters. Other than that, the E25 has all the features found in the E35 – after all, the E35 is just an upgrade. So, if you don’t have a lot of dirt to deal with, the E25 can be a good buy. However, we do recommend the Roborock E35 because it has better features and overall performance. Also, the price difference is negligible.

What are the differences – Roborock E25 vs E35
Navigation
When it comes to navigation, these two vacuum robots are pretty similar. It seems like they use the same technology on both vacuums and this makes sense because the difference in price is not that big.
Both vacuums will clean your house systematically following straight lines to ensure fast and efficient cleaning. They have 13 motion tracking sensors that help in ensuring that the robots don’t fall off the stairs, collide with any obstacles present along their paths and also in ensuring that the robots don’t end up trapped.
Voice control is possible on both the E25 and the E35 by pairing with an Amazon Alexa device. If you’d rather do it the old fashioned way, you will need to download the Mi Home app, and it will allow you to set schedules, start, stop, and pause cleaning runs, get progress notifications, and much more.
Suction
A vacuum without suction can be the most annoying thing. It shouldn’t even be called a vacuum in the first place. Both the E25 and E35 are equipped with powerful motors. So, picking up dirt, dust, and pet hair is a walk in the park.
However, at 57 Watts, the E35 is slightly more powerful than the E25 which produces 54 Watts of power. Overall, the E35 generates a suction of 2000Pa which is higher than the 1800Pa produced by the E25.
Dealing with obstacles
Another important consideration when shopping for a robot vacuum is how it handles obstacles. Luckily, the two robots can easily climb over items as high as 0.8 inches. This is made possible by possession of large wheels.
Also, while cleaning, the robot can sense obstacles and slow down such as pets, children, or furniture. This helps to avoid any damage or injury (feature available in both the E25 and E35).
Filtration Efficiency
Both these robots use the same filter, which is a high-efficiency E11 filter that is rated to capture up to 99.2% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. This means that it will be able to catch dust mites, mold spores and other small allergens that can make life difficult if you suffer from allergies.
It’s also a washable filter so you can be happy because replacement costs will be kept at a minimum.
Mopping capability
This is a very good feature that is not common in other brands. However, Roborock has been able to strike a balance between vacuuming and mopping. The two robots have a water tank that comes in handy when you switch to Mopping mode.
Also, the water tank is made in such a way that it only allows water to pour once the cloth is dry. So, the robot vacuum won’t leave puddles of water behind as it glides along your bare floors.
Spot cleaning
Is there a specific spot in your house that is dirtier than the rest? Most high-traffic areas require more attention, and Roborock has this in mind. Both vacuums have the spot-cleaning feature that concentrates on leaving a 1.2-meter diameter area spotless.
To engage spot cleaning, you can either use the “Spot Clean” button or the Mi Home app. On the app, simply tap on “Spot Clean”.
Carpet boost
Carpets always harbor all manner of dirt, deeply embedded within the fibers. So, normal suction just won’t cut it. Roborock has been able to find a way to clean a house that has both bare and carpet floors effectively.
As soon as the robot touches a carpet, the suction is automatically increased. Then, the suction automatically returns to normal upon transition to the hard flooring.
Battery Life
Unlike the filter and navigation technology, the battery on these two vacuums is different. As expected, the E35 comes with more battery life than the E25. The good news is that both robots come with the Recharge and Resume feature which enables them to pick up from where they left off if they ever run out of charge before finishing the cleaning job.
The battery on the E35 provides enough juice to power the robot for up to 150 minutes, while the one on the E25 will give enough juice for up to 100 minutes.
Compare accessories – Roborock E25 vs E35
The Roborock E35 and Roborock E25 include all of the basic accessories listed above as well as the following mopping accessories:
- Mopping reservoir: a thin tank for water to use when mopping
- Mopping pad: these pads velco onto the bottom of the vacuum and helps to scrub the floor while its mopping
- Water tank filter: helps to capture any dirt or debris that the mopping pad may miss during a mopping cycle
- Moisture-proof mat: this mat goes under the charging station when mopping
Roborock E35
The Roborock E35 is a mid-range robot vacuum that Roborock offers. It uses the standard bump-and-continue approach to navigation that you see in most robots.
It’s able to clean areas 1600-2100 sq. ft. on a full battery charge.
This model is also referred to as the Xiaowa Plus or Roborock Xiaowa Plus.

Compare cleaning performance – Roborock E25 vs E35
The main duty of a vacuum and mop robot is to clean your floors. Unless it can effectively clean your floors, any other feature – no matter how impressive it may be – will not make any difference. It will simply be useless because of the inability to accomplish the one task it was bought to accomplish.
Let’s take a look at how each of these devices performs when it comes to cleaning your floors.
Roborock E25
As mentioned earlier, this is the simpler model of the two, so it comes with slightly lower numbers when it comes to performance. For starters, the motor in the robot can deliver 1800Pa of suction which may not sound like a lot when you place it side by side with other more powerful models, but you will hardly notice any insufficiencies when you send it on its way to vacuum your home.
You will also be happy to know that the robot will automatically detect when it reaches a carpeted area and step up the suction so that it can perform deeper cleaning. Once it leaves the carpeted area, it will automatically lower the suction to ensure maximum runtime.
This robot vacuum and mop has six cleaning modes that will make sure that you get the perfect selection for your needs. You can choose between mopping mode, carpet mode, quiet mode, balanced mode, turbo mode, and max mode. Together, these modes make sure that you have the perfect solution for your specific needs.
You can also set this robot to vacuum and mop your floors as it moves along simultaneously. This way, any small particle that couldn’t be picked up by the suction will be wiped away by the moist mopping pad. This mopping pad has been designed to suck in water evenly and gradually as the pad dries to ensure that no puddles are left on the floor.
Roborock E35
This vacuum is also very similar to the E25. It also comes with six cleaning modes to ensure that you find the perfect solution for your cleaning needs. You can also tell it to simultaneously mop and vacuum to ensure that your hard floors are left spotless.
The motor on this robot is more powerful than that on the E25, so it will be able to deliver up to 2000Pa. This is more than enough suction to pick up particles of all sizes both on carpets and hard floors. To ensure that you can reap the full benefits of this suction without sacrificing the runtime, it comes with the Carpet Boost feature that steps up the suction when the robot reaches a carpeted area, and it brings it back down after it clears the carpeted area and goes back to a hard floor.

Roborock E25
The Roborock E25 model is similar to the Roborock E35.
The only notable difference is it’s only able to clean 1200-1600 sq. ft., due to a notably smaller battery (only 2,600 mAh vs. the E3’s 5,200 mAh).
This model is also referred to as the Xiaowa or Roborock Xiaowa.
