Top 3 reasons to buy Cosori Oven Air Fryer Combo

Rack indicators: One of my favorite things about the COSORI Oven Air Fryer Combo is that there is an indicator on the front of the oven showing you where to place the rack depending on what cooking function you are using.

It takes all the guesswork out of setting the oven up for the various cooking functions, so even a cooking novice could jump right into cooking something without having to read the manual first.

Air Fryer Basket Rack: The air fryer basket actually has its own rack arms for placing it in the air fryer, so you don’t need the standard rack in when you are using the air fryer basket.

Very Quiet: Another great thing about this Oven Air Fryer Combo is that it is so very quiet. A standard, egg-shaped air fryer is actually quite loud, and I love how quiet this oven is in comparison.

Cosori Design

The COSORI CO130-AO toaster oven is a stainless steel monster. It measures 20.1 inches in width, 16.3 inches in depth, and is 12.1 inches high. The inside is also stainless steel, and the door is made of heat-resistant tempered glass. This makes it exceptionally easy to clean. That said, the steel construction makes it fairly heavy. At 24 pounds, the CO130-AO is tough and durable, but it’s a beast to move around.

Inside the oven, there are four heating elements that use conventional heat to evenly distribute the hot air around the food, for more even cooking.

There are also three removable and repositionable metal cooking racks. If you have a large item, like a bone-in rotisserie chicken, you will likely need to take two of the racks out and only cook on one rack.

Size & Dimensions

The Cosori toaster oven is not small by any stretch of the word, but in comparison, it is designed to replace a traditional oven and it’s much smaller than that.

The exact dimensions of the Cosori toaster oven are

  • 20″ wide
  • 13″ deep
  • 11.5″ high

A little on the hefty side, the Cosori toaster oven weighs 20.6 pounds, but this feels like a really quality appliance. You don’t move a toaster over around in the same way you may move a compact toaster so the heavier weight really isn’t a huge factor, in my opinion.

Buttons

The controls of the Cosori toaster oven can be broken down into six main parts.

  • LED digital display
  • Time / Temperature (radial dial)
  • Function (radial dial)
  • Light on / off (push button)
  • Fan on / off (push button)
  • Start / cancel (push button)

What are the 12 presettings in Cosori 12-in-1 oven air fryer combo?

There are 12 basic presets that come included with the Cosori toaster oven, giving it a wide range of functions. The available presets include:Shop Related Products

Digital display on the Cosori toaster oven
Digital display on the Cosori toaster oven on “Bagel” mode

This should be self-explanatory.

Bagel. Like many toasters, the CO130-AO’s bagel mode is designed to toast only the inside of the bagel. This retains the unique texture of the outer crust.

Bake. In this mode, heat will apply evenly from all directions. Set the time and temperature, and use the CO130-AO as you would use an ordinary oven.

Pizza. In this mode, the toaster oven will operate at a set temperature. However, it will apply slightly more heat from the bottom elements, ensuring a crispy crust.

Airfry. In airfry mode, the CO130-AO turns the fans all the way up to blow hot air over your food. This is a healthy – and delicious! – way to prepare French fries and similar dishes.

Roast. Similar to the baking mode.

Broil. Just like a standard oven broiler, the CO130-AO will apply heat from the top elements only.

Rotisserie. This is one of the tastiest ways to prepare a small roaster chicken. We’ll take a closer look in the next section.

Cookies. The purpose of this mode is questionable. Like many “smart” microwave features that claim to make the perfect baked potato, the standard bake mode is generally better.

Ferment. If you’ve ever thought about making homemade yogurt, now you can. And you won’t even need to spend extra money or counter space on a yogurt maker.

Dehydrator. The dehydrator mode allows you to use the CO130-AO as a food dehydrator. Follow the time and temperature instructions in your recipe, and your jerky or homemade potato chips will come out delicious.

Warm. Use the warm mode to simplify holiday cooking. If you need to keep a bowl of green bean casserole warm while the turkey finishes, now you can.

Accessories & Parts

The Cosori toaster oven comes with a nice selection of accessories to help customize your cooking experience, as needed.

Accessories (from left to right) include:

  • Original Cosori cookbook: includes a variety of recipes and ideas for how to use your Cosori
  • Food tray: use it to roast, broil, or bake; you can put food directly on it
  • Crumb tray: installs at the bottom of the oven and has a pull-out, non-stick design making it easy to remove and wipe down as needed
  • Fry basket: use it on air fry mode
  • Wire rack: use it for baking pizza, pies, or any other food that you want the bottom to have the same exposure of heat as the top
  • Rotisserie attachments: includes a shaft / fork as well as a turning handle (as shown below) for cooking homemade rotisserie chicken

The rotisserie attachments is certainly something that sets the Cosori apart from a traditional oven. This attachment makes it easy to cook a rotisserie chicken and is able to crisp up all sides of the bird as it suspends it in the air.

Cosori Toaster Oven Performance

To test the performance of the Cosori toaster oven, we ran a series of cooking rounds in our at-home kitchen to see how it would perform.

We tested the following items:

  • Toasted bagel (bagel mode)
  • Open-face grilled cheese (toast mode)
  • Baked chicken (bake mode)

Here’s how the Cosori toaster oven performed at each job.

Test #1: Open-Face Grilled Cheese

We also ran a quick melt test to see how evenly it could melt the cheese on an open-faced grilled cheese. For this test, I put the toaster oven on “Toast” mode with the following presets:

  • Mode: Toast
  • Level: 3
  • Cook Time: 7 mins
  • Preheat Required? No.

After the time was up, the cheese was well melted and ready to eat.

Test #2: Bagel

On the bagel test, we put the Cosori on “Bagel” mode. Presets were as follows:

  • Mode: Bagel
  • Level: 3 (light toasting)
  • Cook Time: 8 minutes
  • Toast level: Mid-range
  • Preheat Required? No.

The result of this test was as you would expect, a toasted bagel. Overall I was happy with this mode. It worked quickly without needing to be preheated, but I will add that it took longer than it would have had I put it in a traditional toaster.

Test #3: Baked Chicken

Lastly, we cooked up some boneless, skinless chicken breasts. We opted to use our own baking dish instead of the provided “food tray” to have easier cleanup.

For this test, we used the “Bake” mode and adjusted it to be the following settings:

  • Mode: Bake
  • Temperature: 400°
  • Cook Time: 38 minutes
  • Preheat Required? Yes.

This chicken breast cooked in about 38 minutes in the Cosori toaster oven at around 350°. When I cook this same chicken in our traditional oven it takes about 50-60 minutes so in this case, the Cosori cooked the meat faster. It was also quite moist. I think the convection fan distributing the air really helped to cook the chicken evenly.

Setup & Usability

Getting started with the Cosori toaster oven was quick and easy. Upon unboxing, we washed up the trays and racks, installed the appropriate accessories, and plugged it in.

When it is time to cook, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Select a preset.
  2. Review the settings.
  3. If they look right, press start, which will start preheating the oven.
  4. If they need some tweaking, you can adjust them manually until you have what you’re looking for.
  5. Press start, which preheats the oven.
  6. Once the oven is hot (if it requires pre-heating), insert the food and press start.

Maintenance

The maintenance of the Cosori really comes down to just keeping it clean. This job may be simple or difficult depending on the types of food you cook as well as how long you wait before cleaning after each use.

Most all parts of the parts can easily be cleaned with a damp spong or cloth.

  • Turn off and unplug your oven.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Wipe with a damp non-abrasive sponge.
  • Use mild spray solution to avoid stains and buildup.
  • Wipe the display with a soft, damp cloth.

As a general note, remember to apply spray solutions to the cloth directly and not directly to the digital screen. In addition, do not wipe down with a dry cloth, which may be prone to scratches.

  • Clean the glass door with a glass cleaner; spray on and wipe away with a damp cloth.
  • Let all surfaces try before using.

Buying Guide – THE OVEN AIR FRYER COMBO

  • Does the outside get hot? The outside of the oven does get very hot while it is in use. It is an oven after all and should be treated as so.
  • Make sure that you do not touch the oven while it is in use and that it has plenty of clearance from other appliances/objects while it is in use.
  • It doesn’t really get any hotter than any other toaster oven or air fryer oven that I’ve used, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Just take this into consideration when choosing where to put it in your kitchen.
  • Is it Messy? The oven includes a crumb tray, but as with any crumb tray, it can get quite messy. I suggest placing a silicone mat on top of the crumb tray before you use it so you don’t have to worry about having to scrap the crumb tray clean after you use it.
  • Is it nonstick? The crumb tray and rack are not non-stick, and even though they can get dirty, I recommend that you do not scrub them. Just place them in a sink of hot water and allow them to soak when they need to be cleaned.
  • How does preheat work? The oven does start to preheat when you turn it on, which can be both good and bad depending on what you are cooking. I personally believe in #ruthlessefficiency so I don’t call for any preheating in any of my air fryer recipes.
