De’Longhi America Inc EN750MB Lattissima Pro Original Espresso machine is a De’Longhi’s patented espresso extraction system that creates the ideal flow of water with 19 bars of pressure – the ultimate amount for drawing the most flavor and desired temperature in each cup. During the extraction process, the integrated carafe dispenses milk in adjustable levels for taste. Simply remove from the unit to keep freshly refrigerated. The unit is also designed so no milk comes in contact with the machine – and is dishwasher safe (De’Longhi America Inc. EN750MB Lattissima Pro).
It is a blessing for those people who want perfect espressos, cappuccinos, and lattes at home and that too without the hassle of a complicated espresso maker. It is a pod based system that has an original Nespresso capsules system installed in it. The use of these capsules ensures that the coffee will always taste best and there is no hassle of measuring or grinding required. This is another machine by the brand after ESAM3500 Magnifica, that got so successful.

Pros & Cons – De’Longhi America Inc EN750MB Lattissima Pro Original Espresso machine
Pros
Fast
This machine is seriously fast on startup. I turn it on, grab my milk frother from the fridge, and before I know it the machine is ready to go. Not only that, The frother itself is the fastest I have ever seen on a machine. It instantaneously froths milk as it passes through into the coffee cup.
Simple
At work we have a $1500 espresso machine that grinds the coffee automatically, has a frothing wand that lowers into the cup and froths your milk automatically for you. I find myself preferring to use my machine before work. Why? Because this crazy machine we have at work sometimes doesn’t froth properly, or doesn’t grind the coffee properly and you end up with a cup of warm milk. The De’Longhi is amazing in that it is simple, there is so much less that can fail.
Quick
Now wait a second Alex, you already said it was fast. Where are you going with this? So what do I mean by quick? The machine is intuitively easy to use. There are six quick and easy presets to choose from. There is no need to go digging through the mass of menus like the crazy machine at work has. The De’Longhi is like the race car of espresso machines. Not only does it start up quickly, the use of this machine is fast and responsive.
Fresh Coffee
This one is pretty self explanatory. You get the freshness of beans coupled with the convenience of pre-ground coffee with the Nesspresso pods.
Cons
Expensive Pods
This is the Achilles heel of this machine. The pods are not cheap. There are off brand pods, however these are not guaranteed to be the same level of quality of those from Nesspresso. Personally, I think this is a compromise that is well worth it.
Difficult to self service
Like any automatic machine, if this one breaks it will have to be sent back unless you are comfortable opening it up to see what makes it tick.
Not for everyone
I imagine the espresso connoisseur would raise his nose in disgust at this machine. However, this machine is a constant source of delicious coffee and happiness for me. If you simply enjoy coffee for both the taste and as a wake up in the morning, this bad boy is for you.

Design
There’s real emphasis on quality in the design – from the brushed aluminium finish to the metal drip tray and drop-down espresso cup support, which are reassuringly substantial without being gratuitously heavy. A hot water spout – used during descaling and for making tea – is also thoughtfully concealed in a recess at the side with its own door. This fits in the same place as the milk carafe – both click in and can be removed easily.
An industrial look is achieved by a compact stainless steel body. The chrome-plated and brushed finishes make the design more attractive. If you want to modernize your kitchen counter and enjoy up to 6 hot beverages then De’longhi America EN750MB is a perfect match for you and beats every other Nespresso espresso in terms of taste and quality.
Its features have been thoughtfully considered, too. An internal bin for used pods means there’s no need to empty after every drink, while the water tank has a hinged lid that helps to stop spills and splashes between the sink and the machine.
A short cable (45cm) means you might have trouble positioning it where you want to, but if you’re lucky enough to be able to site it right next to a socket, you can take advantage of the cable store underneath for a neat finish.
At 6.5kg, you probably won’t want to be moving it around frequently, but its small footprint ensures that it takes up minimal space on the worktop. It could be a great swap for an older bean-to-cup machine that hogs all the room.
Thanks to a fast-heating thermoblock that’s ready to make coffee in 25 seconds – or 40 for milk drinks – the Lattissima Pro is a good morning companion. The water tank is a generous size compared to the machine’s dimensions and it’s simple to fill.
Touchscreen
The touchscreen menu is pretty intuitive once you’re aware of what the drink symbols mean – the name of the drink pops up on the screen, but only after you’ve selected the button. It’s also simple to scroll through the different settings for descaling and rinsing. However, the machine has to clean the milk spout after every use, which, if you’re making a round of cappuccinos, can be pretty time-consuming. It’s as simple as turning a wheel to emit steam and residue, but it does lengthen the process.
How to use it?
Making a drink is as easy as switching it on, inserting a pod, closing the lever to hold it in place, and, if applicable, attaching the milk carafe (which needs to be stored in the fridge), before choosing the right button for your drink. The cup platform isn’t restricted by obstacles, so you can use any size of cup, and the milk carafe spout can also be moved and pointed into the cup, so there’s no chance of missing or dripping down the side. A sturdy drop-down support adapts it easily for espresso cups.
Auto-Cleaning Milk Carafe
As if all the qualities were not enough, it comes with an auto-cleaning milk carafe system. You won’t have to worry about cleaning it after every use. You just have to turn on the milk regulator knob; steaming hot water will run through the milk carafe for 15-second. The whole milk carafe will be fully cleaned and ready for the next use, cool right?
Milk Container and Storage for Used Capsules
De’longhi America EN750MB is designed in such a way that the compactness doesn’t come in the way of storing up to 16 used Nespresso pods. A container is hidden behind the drip tray to store the used pods. There is also a 0.5 liters milk container that enables you to store any unused milk in the refrigerator instead of wasting it.
Maintenance
Maintenance-wise, the milk carafe also has to be disassembled and popped in the dishwasher every couple of days, which can be a chore. Plus, if you’re washing it by hand, the small sections are fiddly – it splits into five parts and the carafe will need a brush for a thorough clean.
How good is the coffee?
A maximum 19 bar of pressure produces a velvety, aromatic crema from the Nespresso Grand Crus pods, which are pierced in several places to allow plenty of water to be forced through. The resulting coffee is excellent and not discernably different from freshly ground beans.
It’s a similar story with the Lattissima Pro’s milk froth, which is of good, firm consistency at maximum strength – it can be tailored to suit by turning the wheel on top of the carafe – and especially impressive on the latte macchiato setting. The volume is less on a standard cappuccino, so milky drinks fans may find themselves boosting it.
High-Quality Taste
It is imperative that the taste needs to be of superlative quality and this is exactly where De’Longhi America EN750MB wins the battle. When there is the backing of 19 bars maximum pressure, the brew becomes impeccable. When Nespresso pods are used, the resulting brew is velvety crème and aromatic beverage that is out of this world. The milk froth has a consistent strength and you can simply change the flavor according to your taste and you can adjust brew strength.
Is it worth buying – De’Longhi America Inc. EN750MB Lattissima Pro?
This is a machine for people who love lattes, so if you’re mainly an espresso drinker, it’s probably not worth the extra expense of the milk carafe. It’s worth trying the coffee beforehand, as the Nespresso pods are a little pricier than some systems, at 29-35p each. It also comes with a two-year guarantee.

My Kick-Ass Kick Start to the Day!
I love this machine. I’ve owned several coffee machine over time, and I used to ground my own beans and make pure black coffee, but it turns out I love my coffee but don’t care for the work. Purists probably won’t love this machine, you can’t choose your beans, concentration and all the subtleties that make up a purist cup of coffee. I personally adore it. I still get to choose my beans in a sense, there are a ridiculous number of choices (with very pretty colors) ranging from mild to bold. You get to choose your milk, the concentration of coffee, several settings that help make this machine as simple or customizable as you’d like. Makes me feel like I own a bistro!
The capsules for this machine range from 70 cents – $1.20 per capsule. I did the math for me and decided it was worth the money, don’t let the price tag scare you, if you love coffee, this is a treat!
My only problem with this is that recently (after about eight months after purchase) it required a process called descaling which required me to order a cleaning kit, hopefully it won’t be too often. Apart from this, it has not caused me any trouble.
Note: I purchased this from Amazon Warehouse deal, and it was absolutely worth it at that price.
