GOOVI robot vacuum reviews
Navigation sensor
But what actually surprised us, and numerous other customers, the most was the GOOVI’s better-than-normal navigation. Budget-friendly robots typically bump into obstacles wherever they go, and some have even been known to throw themselves off cliffs (staircases).
This isn’t the case with the GOOVI; its navigation sensors ensure almost 100% of the time that the GOOVI will not bump into any solid obstructions in its path, and upon detecting cliffs, it’ll tuck tail and head in the opposite direction.
Strong Suction Power
As a budget-friendly option, we have to keep our expectations within reason. However, this doesn’t hold true with many aspects of the GOOVI. First of all, the robot is able to produce up to 1,600 Pa of suction power that works admirably well on low- and medium-pile carpeting. As for floorboards, laminate, and tiled floors, forget about it! This robot is something that you could beg to your friends about!
Extended brushes
The GOOVI isn’t without its faults. The first thing we noticed is that the brushes extend too far outward on each side. Basically, the brush setup causes more dust to scatter than it pulls into the suction inlet. Unfortunately, this ends up becoming more work for the GOOVI to do since, without dust detectors, the only time the GOOVI will ever pick up scattered debris is if its random navigation brings it back.
Brushroll for pet hair
That’s not to say that the robot vacuum doesn’t have tangling issues. If you or your pet leave long strands of hair on the floor, the GOOVI is not reliable enough to pick it all up. The brushroll becomes easily tangled by hair of virtually any size. Those with pets may want to look elsewhere if picking up fallen hair is the main reason for getting a robotic vacuum cleaner.
2,600-mAh battery
The GOOVI comes with a sizable 2,600-mAh battery that supplies up to 100 minutes of continuous cleaning per charge. Granted, this isn’t the largest battery or longest runtime in the robotic vacuum cleaner world, but this should be more than enough time to clean the floors of multiple rooms’ floors before needing to refuel.
Auto-Dock
As you can imagine, life with a robotic vacuum cleaner wouldn’t be as joyful if the robot didn’t recharge its batteries on its own. Thankfully, this isn’t an issue you have to worry about with the GOOVI – upon sensing a low battery, it’ll make a beeline straight for its charging dock to refuel.
Sadly, the GOOVI doesn’t have an auto-resume feature, so users need to command the robot to get back to work after recharging. Furthermore, without an auto-resume function, the GOOVI will not pick up where it left off, but instead it restarts its cleaning cycle from the beginning.
Easily Trapped
Even though the GOOVI has smart navigation, it doesn’t always work. It doesn’t always correctly identify obstructions as obstructions. Things like clothes, pet bowls, and shoes are all easily pushed around by the GOOVI, and if it encounters loose cables, you can bet that one of its wheels will become trapped (not tangled, thank goodness).
Remote Control
There are two ways you can command the GOOVI to begin and stop its cleaning cycle – either by leaning down and pressing buttons on its control panel or by pressing buttons on the included infrared remote. The vacuum cannot connect to your home’s Wi-Fi so you don’t need to download heavy apps on your smartphone to send instructions to the robot.
On the remote control, you can also set up cleaning schedules for the robot so your floors can always be clean before you get back from work or wake up in the morning.
What is the best alternate of Robot vacuum GOOVI 1600pa robotic vacuum cleaner
GOOVI Vs. Ecovacs Robot Vacuum
With the Ecovacs Deebot 500, you have a robot vacuum that gives you the same features you’ll find in the Roomba 690, for a much lower price.
Using your smartphone, you can control the Ecovacs Deebot 500 and access all of the different settings and features that it gives you. Features and settings such as scheduling, adjusting the cleaning mode, among many others.
As for the cleaning power, it’s quite good. You can easily vacuum on hard floors as well as rugs and carpets. In many ways, the cleaning performance is almost the same as the Roomba 690.
In the end, if you want something similar to the Roomba 690, but with a slightly weaker design, then the Ecovacs Deebot 500 is a great choice!
GOOVI Vs. Roomba Robot Vacuum
With the Roomba 690, you have a robot vacuum that costs quite a bit more than the GOOVI 1600PA Robotic Vacuum Cleaner. This cost comes with a few unique features.
Unlike the GOOVI 1600PA Robotic Vacuum Cleaner, where you are forced to use the remote control, to use the robot vacuum cleaner and to access all of the features that it offers, the Roomba 690 allows you to use your smartphone.
Using your smartphone, you can turn the vacuum on and off, create a custom schedule, adjust the cleaning settings, along with various other features.
As for the cleaning performance, while iRobot hasn’t provided a specific suction measurement, the Roomba 690 is much better at vacuuming on carpets and rugs, than the GOOVI 1600PA Robotic Vacuum Cleaner is. There isn’t a significant difference, necessarily, but it’s noticeable, and it does make the vacuuming process a little easier, and a little more efficient.
If you don’t mind spending more money, the Roomba 690 gives you a more convenient, and more efficient, vacuuming experience.
GOOVI Vs. Eufy Robot Vacuum
With the RoboVac 30C, you have an excellent robot vacuum that costs just a little bit more than the GOOVI 1600PA Robotic Vacuum Cleaner, while giving you several fantastic features.
To start, the suction power is only 1500Pa. You can vacuum on any hard floor, using this suction power, but cleaning on carpets and rugs can be difficult.
Part of why the price is a little higher, though, is because the Eufy RoboVac 30C gives you smartphone functionality. Using your smartphone, you can create custom schedules for the vacuum, change the cleaning mode, turn the vacuum on and off, as well as several other different settings. And, if you have a Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa device, you can use those devices, as well.
What is especially cool about the RoboVac 30C is that you have access to these things called “Boundary Strips”. These Boundary Strips are little strips that you lay in front of spaces that you don’t want the RoboVac 30C to clean, and then it simply goes around them. You can put them in front of doorways so that the RoboVac 30C thoroughly cleans the space you have placed the vacuum in.
If you want a more convenient robot vacuum, and don’t mind spending just a little more money, then the RoboVac 30C is an excellent choice!
