MOOSOO vacuum vs Dyson vacuum comparison chart – which one is quieter? MOOSOO K17 vacuum comes with brushless motor which is synchronous units electric motors that move around internally electronically. Current powers magnets to ultimately move the rotor which gives off lower heat and friction. The life of the motor is extended and they claim the K17 will last for about 700 hours of use. It also only puts out about 67 decibels which is far lower than other similar stick vacuums. It also comes with a variety of attachments including an LED electric floor head, 2 in 1 cleaning brush, square brush, and a crevice nozzle.

The Dyson V7 has a lot of technology built into the relatively small frame. The motor is also something that really stands out as it is a digital design that spins internally at about 107,000 RPMs during normal use. This lets it produce about 100 air watts of power which gives it about 75% more power to the brush than its’ upgraded predecessor the V6. It too is fairly quiet and built to last for many years of use. The V7 is a better choice for medium pile carpets as it has the size and power to really pull embedded dirt up from the fibers. For whole household cleaning on a regular basis, especially those with a variety of floors, the Dyson V7 is one of the most economical and best choices. Pros & Cons – MOOSOO vacuum vs Dyson vacuum

K17 vacuum cleaner

PROS
Price – this is much more affordable than a Dyson product.

LED lighting on brush attachment – There are some nice features like LED lighting which is lacking on the Dyson. One touch on/off.

One Touch ON/OFF: Another feature I love on the Moosoo is that it is one touch and go while the Dyson you will need to continuously press on the button for the vacuum to operate. This adds to fatigue. The Dyson does not feel ergonomic at all as the weight seems unbalanced.

Semi Ergonomic – The Moosoo handle is angled better so fatigue doesn’t affect as quickly. However it does get heavy so you may want to switch hands.

Removable battery – With the removable battery, there is a possibility for the user to purchase and extra battery which I feel would be ideal should you run out, you can simply pop in the secondary battery to finish the clean up job while recharging the first battery.

Strength – Vacuum strength seems to be quite strong

Larger container – The bagless storage cup seems to be larger than the Dyson to hold more dust, dirt, and hair.

CONS

Non-Luxury – The plastic material and colors seem cheap where the Dyson does feel more like a high end luxury product.

Noise – It is quite loud and sounds louder than the Dyson. However it does seem much more powerful.

Only 1 mode -The Dyson has a normal mode and a maximum suction mode. MooSoo’s product only has one setting.
Attachments – Moosoo’s main attachment with the extender and brush click on and are light weight. However the other 2 attachments don’t have a locking click but instead relies on pressure to keep it in place. Without the clicking lock, it feels again cheap but it does get the job done.

Dyson v7

Pros

Awesome vacuum. Sweet spot for me price wise. It has double the power of the V6 but much cheaper than the V8. All around this seems to be the best priced model value wise. I was skeptical and researched quite awhile before deciding. This thing is soooo convenient. My apartment is much cleaner now just because I can just grab this thing and fly over my floors rather than hauling out the vacuum cleaner and having to plug it in three different places because the cord doesn’t reach. The swivel is just genius.

The suction is really good. One thing to know that on max suction the battery only lasts 6 minutes. This wasn’t obvious to me when researching. Otherwise, it lasts 20m on normal mode or 30m for handheld at regular suction. The handheld attachments are nice and way easier than using a dusting cloth. It has been a game changer for me.

Cons

Some minor complaints is that it feels weird pushing this on my carpet. My carpet is low profile and suited for it, but it doesn’t roll smooth like on wood floors. Maybe this to be expected, but much different than a regular vacuum. Not a biggie though. On the wood floors, it’s a champ. Another minor complaint is that it doesn’t tend to get bigger particles. I think because it sets so low, it tends to push them. This can be worked around by lifting it and sitting it on the particle. It’s not as strong as a plugged in Dyson, but for me it’s perfect and worth the trade off. Max suction is pretty decent though and I can drag my bar stools via the suction.

However, If you hit a totally flat surface where it can’t breath it will cut off a brief second — not sure if it’s by design or not. Maybe it needs just a tiny bit of airflow. This only happens when cleaning my bar stool tops though — because they are super flat perhaps.

Detailed comparison – MOOSOO vacuum vs Dyson vacuum

Suction power

Dyson V7

While Dyson doesn’t divulge their actual kpa rating we can say the V7 is more powerful than the K17. It is built for all types of floors but is best suited to medium pile carpets on down. For thicker flooring you are still going to come up a bit short but that is why they have their more powerful V10 and V11 cleaners. But for this comparison and this category, the Dyson is the pretty clear winner.

MOOSOO K17 vacuum

The MOOSOO K17 is rated at approximately 10 kpa (kilopascal) which is lower than your typical corded vacuum rating of about 20 kpa. On the standard setting you really won’t be deep cleaning medium or high piled rugs like you can on the Dyson. This is something that MOOSOO will need to address if they want their model to be considered a true ‘whole household’ cleaning machine.

Filtration

Dyson V7 vacuum cleaner

The Dyson V7 is another fully sealed system that is rated to trap 99.97% of those tiny allergens down to as small as 0.3 microns. This is pretty standard for a modern vacuum that is built for cleaning carpets. The biggest difference here is Dyson always features lifetime washable filters so there are no further maintenance costs. Overall though, both the MOOSOO and Dyson do an excellent job at filtering out impurities from the air before it passes back into your home.

MOOSOO K17 vacuum cleaner

The upgraded MOOSOO K17 boasts an impressive rating on their entire filtration system. It has 4 different stages for trapping 99.99% of the dust particles as the air passes through, resulting in vastly cleaner air that comes out. It is also a fully sealed system so anything that is trapped stays there. The only downside is all of the filters are not washable so you must replace them every few months. Not a huge expense but something to keep in mind.

Battery capacity

Dyson V7

The Dyson V7 uses a similar setup for the battery pack as it comes with a 6 cell nickel cobalt lithium ion unit that provides about 30 minutes of suction. This is measured under normal operating on the basic power setting. It is not removable so it too is charged while in the machine, which is really the only drawback to Dyson cord-free vacuums. If they could come up with a removable battery design that was reliable and still charged fast, it would be a big win. Overall though they have high quality batteries in all their lineup including the V7. No big advantage to either brand in the battery category.

MOOSOO K17 vacuum cleaner

The MOOSOO K17 uses a 2200 mAh lithium ion battery pack that is fully removable. It provides a decent amount of runtime for such an affordable vacuum, usually around 30 minutes on the normal suction setting. Charging takes about 4 hours and the one odd thing about the design is it must be charged while in the machine. This kinda defeats the purpose of having a removable battery but at least it is easy to replace once it wears out. Being able to charge it off the K17 would be a really nice improvement though.
