How to mount Blink XT2 3 camera system?
Find the below steps to mount your new Blink XT2 camera.
Your Blink XT2 comes with a camera mount, mount riser, and two screws in the box. If you would like to order more, you may do so at amazon.
The mount riser is used to increase the distance from the mounting surface to the camera, allowing for a wider range of motion when positioning the camera. The two provided screws are wood screws. If you are attempting to mount on a different surface or any type of masonry, you will want to consult with your local hardware store on the proper screw type.
We recommend holding the camera where you want to mount and try a Live View by pressing this icon in the app. This way, you can verify the camera has a good view and good signal strength in that location.The best motion detection occurs when a subject walks across the field of view horizontally rather than directly toward or away from the camera. Please keep this in mind when choosing a mounting location.
Once you’ve decided on a location, you’ll put the mount and the riser together. (Using the mount riser is completely optional)
You’ll see that the screw holes line up on these two accessories. Next, use the two provided screws to attach the mount at your desired location. Please note, use of the included screws for the mount will create two holes in the surface of the wall.
Once the mount (and optional mount riser) is securely in place, you will snap the camera onto the mount. The circle portion of the mount will connect to the center circle on the back of the XT2 camera.
Once mounted, you can rotate the camera on the mount itself to get the perfect viewing angle. When positioning your camera, remember the best motion detection occurs when a subject walks across the field of view from one side to another rather than directly toward or away from the camera.

Can be used either indoors or outdoors it’s your choice where to put them. The 3 pack is indoor/outdoor cameras. They do have indoor only cameras that can be added on. You can even use 5 cameras as like 4 outdoor and 1 indoor.
Can I watch the live feed from my phone, if motion is detected?
Yes you can. Very effective depending on how you set your cameras up. They’re live view is actually about a five second delay from my cameras to my phone. It’s not really an issue, just know that when you try to talk, that there is a delay In the hearing of your message and the response.

These cameras have been good for signal strength. I had no trouble with cameras that are passing through four walls and mounted outside the house. The conductivity it’s between the camera and the bass module. You can also use to base units with one on each end so that there is less distance between the cameras and the base stations. Since the base station is inside, it should have a strong signal to your router.

Where does the Amazon Blink XT2 3 camera system recordings save?
The save to the cloud on Amazon and since this is an Amazon product it’s free you can have it auto delete after 30 days or 1 year you can view them anytime you want you can share them and download them whenever you feel like it but it won’t waste memory on your actual device unless you save it to your device otherwise it’s going to the cloud from Amazon which is awesome I also found that the night vision was a little bit blurry so because there’s enough late on my street in front of the garage I turned it off and I can see everything is perfectly in good color which is awesome.
Can the Blink XT2 (with a sync module) work without an internet connection?
ALL of the recordings go out to the cloud. So a wireless signal is vital. While the cameras may still be able to talk to the sync station, the sync station would have no where to send the recordings.
