Design
The Beelink Gemini J45 is a small computer mainframe with a length of 11.5 & a width of 10.25cm and a height of 4.3cm. This should be the size that fits directly into your pocket and weighs only 0.321kg for easy carrying. The use of plastic as the main material allowed us to minimize cost and thickness.
Memory and storage
The Beelink J45 model received a quad-core Intel Apollo Lake Pentium J4205 processor with a clock frequency of 1.5 GHz – 2.3 GHz. Also, the device comes with an Intel HD505 graphics processor. As for the memory, the J45 Premium received 4GB/8GB of RAM + 128GB/256GB mSATA-SSD drive.
You can also find the basic version of the Beelink J45 with 4 GB of RAM LPDDR4 + 128 GB eMMC 3D storage. Even basic performance is enough to browse the web, play simple games or play multimedia content in 4K resolution at 60 Hz.
Ports and connectivity
The mini PC has many ports and connectors. On the front and rear panels there are: a power button, 4 USB 3.0 ports, a headphone jack with microphone support, a LAN port, DC 12v port, and 2 HDMI 2.0 video outputs. On the side is a slot for a TF memory card and a grid for ventilation and cooling of a mini PC. The package includes a mini PC, power adapter, 2 HDMI cables, wall bracket, spare screws, user manual.

This PC comes with Windows 10 pre-installed, so you can enjoy all the advanced functions of this operating system. Fast and stable access to the network provides 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz dual-band WiFi and 1000 Mbps Ethernet.
Beelink J45 has support for Windows and Linux operating systems. Also, there is an active cooling system, like a laptop. The system is made entirely of copper. It consists of heat pipes, radiator, and a small cooler. Of course, the aluminum radiator case for heat removal would fit better, but then the price of a mini PC would be higher.
Beelink J45 Mini PC performance review
The Mini PC comes with Windows 10 Home (activated). The device downloads Microsoft Updates easily and correctly. There’s a single 476GB C:/ drive that had 453GB free space after installing Firefox and Chrome. During the tests, Windows 10 Home runs without problems and stable. We also installed McAfee Total Protection antivirus.
Mini PC runs at a resolution of FHD 1920×1080. There were no problems with the Wifi and Ethernet connection to Internet. We launched a few games such as: Beach Buggy Racing, Asphalt 9: Legends and Minecraft. As with the L55 Mini PC, games also work without a problem.
When you enter the BIOS, you can see that the device has BIOS Version 2.18.1263, UEFI 2.5; PI 1.4. J45 Mini PC has 2x 2.0 HDMI port (4K@60fps), and supports dual display. Intel HD Graphics 505 GPU handles this without a problem. To perform video tests we installed version Kodi 18.3 “Leia”. Below you will find many screenshots, we encourage you to browse.
As we wrote earlier, J45 Mini PC runs on Windows 10 Home, the system is activated. Mini PC is equipped with a Intel Apollo Lake Pentium J4205 (14 nm, 4 core, @ 1.50 GHz – 2.60 GHz, 2 MB cache) and Intel® HD Graphics 505 GPU (up to 800 MHz, 2x HDMI 2.0 3840×2160@60Hz).

How to setup Beelink J45 mini PC desktop?
Although it is very small, the J45 is still a Windows-based personal computer, and needs to be connected with a monitor (or TV, or projector), a keyboard and a mouse to work as designed, and that’s how you should set it up.
During first-time start-up, you will need to go through some of the Microsoft Windows initialization protocols (choosing your region and language, connecting to the network, logging into your Microsoft account, etc), which is easy but definitely takes some time. After that, you are good to go.
