Customer reviews on COOFUN mini PC
I love this little box already. I’ve got an HTPC hooked up that’s been problematic from day 1.
It’s bulky and a pain in the butt to use because of it. It works for streaming and minor gaming, but it always has audio issues, and it takes up so much space in my entertainment center.
This box is like the opposite of that. It is tiny, and takes no extra space up. It bolts right on to the back of the 60” where the wall mount bolts on. I have a wireless HTPC keyboard hooked up, and an 8tb external drive an an a/b switch with the Xbox. It works perfectly for streaming movies and tv shows from the internet that I can’t get on my Apple TV. It also works to run iTunes off of for syncing my iPhones and iPads.

Let’s say solid 4 and 1/2 stars for now. My limited experience with this PC and unknown longevity plus a couple of minor nits may sway rating. Let’s start with my use. I am a quasi computer consultant in a resort/retirement community. I deal with old equipment and “mature” folks who are not the most computer savvy. I recommend replacement equipment and try to configure their PCs to be as easy to use as possible.
When replacing a desktop, I have been recommending the reconditioned ultra small form factor business computers for size, performance, features, and fresh Windows 10 installations at a modest cost for the folks, and these have served well.I have three of my own. I saw this attractively configured, but unfortunately named, Coofun PC that met the needs of my latest client and decided to order it along with a standalone DVD drive. Both arrived quickly. I was happy to see a clean full Win10 installation with no observable bloatware on the first boot. Setup was straightforward with the usual string of Microsoft system updates. All my peripherals were identified without issue (k/b, mouse, monitor).
The system was quite snappy with the 6 Gb memory and SSD. While the CPU and GPU are no muscle chips, I never felt any lag in normal tasks, and overall are more than adequate for my client’s needs. I would definitely recommend this unit for upcoming needs for modest desktop use and probably as a media server as well.
Conclusions:

Good: 6 Gb RAM, 128 Gb SSD, very small package, both VGA and HDMI output, good performance for specs. New PC with Windows for price of refurbished small unit with older technology. Built-in 2/5G WiFi. No compatibility issues with client’s monitor, printer, and other hardware.
Could wish for: At least one more USB port, or perhaps a type C. Power button on front (??whatever side is front, since ports are on three sides). Separate audio input and output jacks (yes, I know many are combination now, but my clients have separate peripherals).
All said, my client is happy and I enjoyed setting the unit up and think it is a great little PC for the price.
