Installation & Set-Up

To test the window-cleaning robot we download the app in App Store (of course, it is also available for Android-devices). There are several functions available in the app: start, stop, choose a cleaning mode, and manually control the robot with direction buttons. The window-cleaning robot itself is ready to use in a few movements. First, we mount a microfiber-cloth on the bottom side of the robot and humid it a little with cleaning fluid. Then we put all cables together and put it on power.

Dry and wet cleaning

The microfibre pads are washable and therefore reusable. With iGLASSBOT you can clean surfaces dry as well as wet. For an optimum cleaning result there are two different kinds of microfibre pads:

  • The yellow one is suitable for dry cleaning
  • The blue one has to be mounted for wet cleaning

Smart and efficient window cleaning

A long lasting brushless motor generates a high suction power of 5,600 PA. That’s how the window cleaning robot Mamibot W120, weighing only 1.5 kilos, is able to cling easily to vertical surfaces. Before cleaning, a microfibre cloth is fitted on the underside of the device.

Usage on different surfaces

The Mamibot window cleaning robot can be used on various surfaces such glass, tiles and even wood. Several sensors protect the robot from falling from frameless windows or table tops. Mamibot iGLASSBOT W120 even cleans uneven surfaces reliably thanks to a floating cleaning pad.

Efficiency due to artificial intelligence

Mamibot iGLASSBOT W120 is able to clean one square metre in about two minutes. While cleaning it moves either in Z- mode or N-mode. Thanks to artificial intelligence (AI technology) it calculates the ideal cleaning route and switches between the navigation modes automatically. Thanks also to its height of only 8.5 cm the window cleaner can also reach areas that are difficult to access. After it has finished, iGLASSBOT returns to the starting position.

A safe device

The Mamibot iGLASSBOT W120 has an integrated uninterrupted power supply to run the device for 20 minutes in case of power failure. To prevent the robot falling off, it is also fitted with a safety rope. Therefore, the Mamibot W120 can be used for outdoor cleaning and high-rise windows.

App and remote control

There are three ways to operate the window cleaning robot:

  • Button operation
  • Operation via remote control within a range of15 metres
  • Operation via Mamibot App for iOS and Android

Operation Area of Mamibot W120

We have really been thrilled of the wide operating area of the window-cleaning robot. It cleans windows with and without frames and also inclined surfaces. Therefore, we could also operate it on the skylights in our myRobotcenter office. Furthermore, iGLASSBOT could also be used as a robot mop for floors and tables. But to be honest, there is a small disadvantage compared to classic robot mops – it uses grid operation and therefore pulls its cable behind itself all the time.

Handling – Mamibot W120 T window cleaning robot

Operating the Mamibot iGLASSBOT is extremely easy. The device itself only offers one start/stop button. There are more functions available in the app. The app itself is clearly structured and very easy to use. If you are not used to operating a window robot we recommend to thoroughly read the user manual first. There you can also find useful tips and troubleshooting.

Safety

Mamibot W120 attaches on the glass surfaces and doesn’t drop. As an additional protection it is recommended to use the safety rope. You should absolutely use the safety rope when operating the window robot in higher floors.

Cleaning Results – Mamibot W120 T window cleaning robot

On our windows at home the window-cleaning robot had to deal with dust (most of all with pollen) and light soiling (mostly on the outside). The robot has removed it all thoroughly. Only after the cleaning we could see how dirty the windows have really been, seeing the now dirty microfiber cloths. After the cleaning all windows were clean – and even streak-free! We can hardly reach such results by myself.

Mamibot W120 T window cleaning robot customer review

I can finally clean the outside of windows I can’t reach.

I got this to clean the outside of the windows on my house. They are old windows and cant tilt in to clean or anything and my arm even with tools isn’t able to fully clean the windows but I can set this onto the bottom of the window and it will climb up and clean the rest of the window. It hasn’t fallen yet and I hope it won’t I’m pretty sure if it fell the safety rope would just let it swing into the side of the building and probably still damage it. It doesn’t get all the way into the corners of the windows and it sometimes leaves it a little streaky or spread dirt a few times but I think if a use it more it will clean the windows a little more each time and without built up dirt it will leave less streaking mess. It’s fairly easy to use and now I can finally have clean windows inside and out…
