Great system, no HDD included
The monitor interface is ok, I’m able to use my wireless mouse without any issues. The iPhone app is great but it takes some time to get used to it. Email Notification works great and I like very much the option to add the motion clip as an attachment in the email alert.
Bought a 2TB HDD, I decided to use the 1080p resolution that way the recording can go much longer. I’m using 4 cameras so it will be enough for over 4 weeks of 24/7 recording! The NVR has an option to change the resolution for the higher and better pictures if needed.
The cameras are very sturdy. The box came very well packaged and with everything I would need to set up installation.

Super easy set up and excellent software interface

This system is the epitome of plug and play.
The HDD drive (must be purchased separately) is easy to install in the unit. Like the idea of picking your own HDD since it allows one to select the capacity you need (I bought a 4 TB unit). Routing the cables is really dependent on your home so it should not factor into any review.The camera field of view is stated to be 110 degrees but I think it is a bit narrower, possibly only 90 degrees. Daytime color and night time IR video quality is good and the display is adjustable. The cameras can be easily adjusted to point in the desired direction. The weather resistant camera couplers are a good feature but rather bulky. There’s probably no way around the size as these are ethernet size connectors.
Although I have not used this feature but there is a video download (to USB flash drive) capability so that you can capture footage to show to “authorities” if needed.
