This particular design has been popular, because it lends itself to a great deal of versatility and efficiency, and it makes movement much quicker and more effortless, than, for example, a square or a triangular design, because those shapes are often a bit harder to maneuver within tighter spaces.

When using the OPODEE Robotic Vacuum Cleaner, you will be relying on a small remote control. This is a basic remote control that lets you control the robot vacuum manually if you want. It also gives you access to the other cleaning modes and settings that are available, all of which are quite useful in their own way.

On the remote control there are three cleaning modes that you have access to. The first cleaning mode is “Spot Cleaning Mode”, and Spot Cleaning Mode is, essentially, a mode that enables the vacuum to clean one particular spot with extra thoroughness. It has no issues going underneath and within larger spaces as well. This small size gives it a tremendous amount of freedom and flexibility, and allows you to clean most spaces with a great deal of ease.

When it comes to power, the OPODEE Robotic Vacuum Cleaner isn’t exactly lacking in that area, either. Instead, it offers a maximum of 1800Pa of suction. That’s a lot of suction power, especially for a robot vacuum, and for an innovative device that is as inexpensive as this one. With this suction power, you won’t have any real issues cleaning carpets, as long as they aren’t too thick, as well as just about any hard floor that you can imagine.

The Maximum Area Coverage – or “MAC”, for short – that the OPODEE Robotic Vacuum Cleaner offers is 1,615 square feet. For a robot vacuum, this truly is a considerable amount of space. Most robot vacuum cleaners, especially ones that are this inexpensive, do not offer a MAC such as this.

Finally, in terms of battery life, you can use the OPODEE Robotic Vacuum Cleaner for a total of 100 minutes, before you will need to recharge it. Good for light mopping
This is the 5th robot vacuum/mop combo I have tried thru Amazon. This one has been the best, however it has problems as well. The description and the seller claim that it vacuums as it mops, but it just drags what is on my tile floor around. So I have to vacuum afterwards. The mopping is more of a streak; there is not enough weight in the robot to get a good mop pattern.
As the seller has in the question section, it doesn’t have control of water going out; but it also didn’t just dump all the water in one spot. There is not enough pressure/weight to mop light dirt, and dust off the tile floors. I will still have to get my mop out, which is counterproductive to paying $239 for a mopping robot that vacuums. The back end is lower with the water tank full and the front end with the brushes is a bit higher, which might be affecting its vacuuming ability while mopping.
I will say this one does tap into things instead of bumping hard like iLIFES does. That was a plus. However, it skips entire areas when vacuuming or mopping and it does go back over areas it had already vacuumed or mopped. For this price, it should already know where it’s been.
The biggest problem is that it is not updating firmware on an iPhone 8, and the robot will tell me it’s dustbin is not attached when it is and stops vacuuming. I would check it, take it out, nothing in the bin, put it back and then it does not pick up cleaning, it starts all over again. It just told me “bumper stuck” went to check on it and it had backed up onto the dining room table leg with the front of the robot on the tile floor.
My search for a robot that vacuums and mops is finished. I would recommend to anyone looking for one that does both, to get a good one that vacuums and then try some of the mopping only ones. The more expensive combos have a better mopping coverage but have the same problem this one had that stopped it. It never should have climbed the table leg.
Finally, I use the app to send back to the base for recharging and it wanders all over the house looking for it.
If all you need for mopping is something light, this is perfect, but I need something more for this price.

Also, like these other two, the Amarey makes good use of anti-collision and anti-drop technology, so you don’t have to worry about it falling down the stairs or getting stuck against the ottoman.

Like the Coredy, the Amarey beats the OPODEE in cleaning modes with four different options for a thorough cleaning. Three of them you’ve seen before: Auto (similar to the OPODEE’s S-shape), Edge, and Spot. The fourth brings an interesting variable into the mix. The Max Vacuum setting musters all the power available to truly go to work on the toughest areas in your home. This may use a little more power than the other modes, but it’s worth it if you’re cleaning an area like a mudroom, hall, or kitchen.

Amarey’s offering is very similar to OPODEE’s. The addition of the Max Vacuum mode is a bonus, but it won’t be necessary for everyone. Again, like the Coredy, the Amarey is slightly shorter, so if you have concerns about specific gaps, you may want to get out your measuring tape. Suction power is king in the vacuum game, however, so remember that the OPODEE still offers 400Pa more strength than Amarey or Coredy.

OPODEE vs. Roomba Robot Vacuum

Most of us are familiar with iRobot’s line of robotic vacuums. Often at the front of the pack concerning cleaning technology, this offering, the 690 model from their Roomba line, sports several exciting features to enhance your robotic vacuum experience.

This robotic vacuum has the lowest suction power out of all the ones we’ve looked at so far. With only 1300Pa of suction, the Eufy 11S (Slim) will get the job done, but perhaps not quite as effective as its competitors. This makes it arguably quieter, but the reduction in efficiency might be a problem for some consumers.

The Eufy 11S has three cleaning modes with which we’re already familiar: Auto, Edge, and Spot. Its fourth cleaning mode is new: Single Room. With this setting, your device will clean only one room and stop after thirty minutes. This can be quite useful for spills and messes that need to be cleaned up outside of your regular vacuuming schedule.

BoostIQ is an interesting technology that automatically senses when a tough spot needs some extra suction power. While this is a great concept, the lack of maximum power means that even with a boost in suction, it doesn’t necessarily manage to hit the same power levels as some of the other devices we’ve examined.

As with the others, you’ll get a remote control that allows you to program your 11S (Slim) with a schedule and to switch modes depending on what kind of mess you’re trying to clean up. When it runs low on batteries, or when it’s done all the cleaning it needs to do, it will also trudge on back to its charger.

Coredy’s offering is in the same bracket as OPODEE. You’ll see many of the same features: anti-obstacle, anti-drop technology; smart navigation; remote control. But the Coredy Robot Vacuum does have a few differences, as well. For one, the Coredy model offers two additional modes on top of OPODEE’s S-Shape (called Auto) and Edge.

If you work at home and need quiet while the Coredy does its work, you can utilize a low-noise mode to avoid any distracting cleaning sounds. Its other mode is quite practical – Spot cleaning mode will focus on a specific area that requires extra care and attention.

In the area of suction power, the OPODEE wins out with a maximum of 1800Pa to the Coredy’s 1400Pa. This will certainly make a difference the each device’s ability to pick up larger particles. On the other hand, the Coredy offers one completely different functionality – a plug-in water tank (sold separately) gives the device the option to mop your floors as well as vacuum them.

Granted, this is an extra expense, but just the added potential gives this item some extra value. One more small advantage is that the Coredy is 0.2 inches shorter than the OPODEE, so if you have extra low cabinets or couches, you might want to consider this.
