Does the YESKAMO camera system constantly record?
You can set each camera to record 24/7 or on motion or at certain times. I didn’t realize mine was recording 24/7 on all the channels and it seemed to run slow. I changed it to record on motion on three channels and it seemed to help. The one I have set to record 24/7 is on my driveway and sometimes the camera won’t detect motion all the way out to the street and I didn’t want to miss anything going on in my driveway.
How to turn off the siren alarm?
A: Right click your mouse into main menu->>system setup->>channel setup->>video detection->>choose the channel number you want to turn off->>disable IPC alarm->>click “apply” and “OK” to save
What if the monitor doesn’t detect the hard dive?
The unit comes with 5 adapters.
- One of them is 12V 3A for the monitor with hard drive.
- Four of them is 12V 1A for the cameras.
- Please make sure you use the correct adapter for the monitor.
- If we use 12V 1A adapter for the monitor, the power is not enough, the monitor will be on, but the hard drive will no power to work.
Do I need to plug in the YESKAMO cameras to 110?
Yes or run an ethernet cable which will take power to cameras and bring video signal back.. which defeats the wireless capability’s obviously and adds clutter to the dvr. but in an extreme case you may need a camera out a ways from the house etc where there isn’t power, or its out of wireless range, and that may be the most feasible method to run a camera

The answer is Yes. The monitor with audio output, and floodlight cameras with built-in microphone to pick up audio. You could hear and talk with someone in the camera area. If you install the camera at your front door, you could talk to who is there.

I spent weeks researching NVR home surveillance systems, including several visits to Home Depot. After reading many reviews, I knew I did not want the yuppie consumer brands – I wanted a real surveillance system, based solely on technical specifications and durability. I finally developed my requirements: wireless, NVR with monitor, 2TB hard-drive local storage, 1080p or better, 8 channel, two-way audio, quality phone app, powered (not battery), H.265 compression, motion detection, PIR cameras, night vision, IP67 weatherproof / pre-paired cameras for easy setup.
After setting the bar so high, I landed on the Yeskamo product. Still, I expected problems — there always with this kind of project. But to my utter amazement, everything went off very smoothly and perfectly. I mounted the cameras, got power to each spot, setup the NVR monitor, and then the first time I turned it on, everything worked. Every camera synchronized to the NVR without a hitch. The user manual, and on-screen navigation, were very intuitive and easy to understand. I was done learning and configuring in less than an hour.
For your reference, I live in a 3200 sqft brick house. All cameras are outside on first floor and the NVR is inside, middle of house, second floor. That means the longest signal length is about 60 feet through brick, floor/ceiling, and 2-4 interior walls. I had no problems whatsoever – signal strength and visual accuracy, were perfect right from the start. Lastly, I setup the iphone app, and again expected hassles. But again there were none – the app setup was as easy as they get, then I put in my system ID, and had visual on my phone in less than 10 minutes. Local storage is great, the floodlights are just the right intensity to not be overwhelming, and the switch from night-vision to color floodlight recordings is very cool.
Lastly, I work in IT and I am never impressed with technology products – I never write reviews. However, this time, I felt it was important to tell you all – there are some products out there that live up to their promise, and Yeskamo has been that for me. I have been so happy with this product and the installation experience that I am already expanding to 8 cameras. One done, 3 more to go, again everything was super smooth. In the end, I would recommend this product to anyone.
