It works well, but beware of pet intervention
I received this item through the Amazon Vine program back in June. I’ve been using it consistently since then, and it works, quite well. I have carpet and linoleum throughout my house, and it doesn’t have a problem going back and forth between the two. We named ours Jarvis, and he’s a pretty cool little guy. He sucks up whatever our household throws at him (sometimes literally, sorry Jarvis) including goldfish, kitty kibble, and the occasional small lego.
Initially, our cats were NOT thrilled with our new housemate, especially when we would tell Jarvis to go home. He sounds like a Harrier Jet coming in for a landing. This was quite disconcerting the the cats, and they would skid all over the kitchen in an attempt to avoid him. At times, this would cause them to actually run into the Roomba, which caused them to be even more terrified. Once they got used to the noise, he just became one more flat surface for them to sit on.
This causes another issues all-together, as he has a button on top (HOME), that they always seem to press with their butts. So, thankfully, we can reset that from the app on our phones.
The home mapping feature is awesome. If I know there is kitty litter or whatnot that needs attention in the kitchen, I can tell Jarvis, from the app, to just clean that room. This makes cleaning a breeze.Overall, it’s a great cleaning tool for our home, and a solid purchase.2 people found this helpful
