Pros
1. Good Video quality
2. Night Vision is clear and crisp
3. Easy to install (If you have a Iphone or Android)
4. Mounting is a easy job.

Cons
1. No lock on the Cameras base. You can unscrew it with one hand pull it out to cut the cords.
2. There is no way to use Chrome, IE, or Edge to directly connect to the camera. (Verified with Zmodo’s Support techs)
3. If you are on a ISP that limits the allowance of bandwidth per month, then it is possible to go over with this cam since it stays connected to Zmodo’s site. Especially if you purchase (Or try the free) the 7 day or 30 day monitoring 24 recording service.
4. There is little configuration you can do with the Zmodo application (Very basic).
5. There is no Changing the Motion Detection sensitivity due to the Zmodo application.
6. The Motion Detection defined area is just one box that you can resize. You cannot set more then one box.
7. You cannot use a third party VR to locally record anything from this camera.
8. You cannot FTP images or Video from this camera to put on Websites or upload to places like The Weather Underground.

I read and re-read all of the Wifi camera reviews and ran several through fakespot.com to see if they were sound before I went ahead and ordered these.

The installation was a snap. The App was simply to install and works great on my iPhone 8 and my iPad (which I tested out before installing.) Installation of the first camera was simple as it is attached to a structure which is unfinished on the inside. I simply tapped into some floodlight wiring that is on all of the time (the floodlights have daylight and motion sensors). The second one is planned for a porch so that will present some challenges as I will need to figure out the power. The good news is that the power cord is very long so that may help. Also, it has a micro USB connection inline so when you drill through the wall/siding, you don’t need a large hole-just large enough for the micro USB.

The picture quality is really good. The 1080p is very clear as I think you can see from my picture. It is was quite gray and cloudy yet it still has good detail which you can easily enlarge on your iPhone or iPad. The motion sensor is pretty good-it seemed to trigger at about 50-60 feet in the daylight and it provides about a free 10-12 second clip which you can download and save if you need to.

I don’t intend to buy the subscription based cloud software as I think this is enough. Just one caution-this does use bandwidth. I have 100 mbs download (not sure what my upload contract is) and my speedtest shows that I am at 66.3 now. Not sure how much of this is the camera and everything on my wifi is working fine but I would not use these with an entry internet connection.

Anyway, it’s been a day and I am really pleased.
